Slashdot is reporting that in recent Starcraft beta testing. Testers who upgraded to the latest drivers are seeing issues in 3D applications (games). After contacting NVIDIA, NVIDIA has temporarily removed links to said drivers until they can investigate the issues seen by testers.
The issue is the fan controller and possible heat damage to your video card and CPU. NVIDIA recommends reverting back to the older 196.21 drivers until they figure out what is going on.
