Welcome to Flux, the open source gaming network!

Introduction
Todays gaming networks, like Steam® or Impulse® are widely used, they don't just connect gamers over IM and other community features, they also provide tools for game developers. Until now, no really free system existed, that offered those features. Flux is our approach for a more open, though connected gaming community (hey NTAuthority, I know, those words sound very familar).
What is it?
Flux is a framework for developers and gamers, aiming to provide common requirements for modern games, such as matchmaking, authorization, messaging and serverbrowsing. A basic version of Flux, mainly serving as login and authorization system, will ship with the alterIWnet open beta, starting later this year.
If that was too technical for you, this paragraph is for you:
Flux will provide a Login System, Instant Messaging, Stats, Invites, Serverbrowsers etc. on an abstracted layer, so it can be reused by other games. You basically get a free (free as in price and code) version of "Steam®" every developer will be free to use
Isn't alterIWnet some kind of half-legal, what about Flux?
Flux is not just written for alterIWnet - in it's final state it should be capable to handle any kind of game. Flux has an own website, a public code repository unlike aIW and - the best - its own twitter account.
When will it be finished?
There is no ETA. Also note, that Flux will never be marked as "finished", as long as we can implement new features.
A note from your friendly neighborhood, the "New Development Team"
Most of us aren't professional programmers. The things we are creating are not just built to be used for you, they are a learning experience for us. Bear with us, when you encouter delays and technical problems with our shipped product.
Nuff said, time for a screenshot of the GUI
